25 days after I posted that blog, Lincoln came. 5 1/2 weeks early, 5 pounds 8 ounces, 18 inches long. He wasn't breathing when he was born so a nurse did CPR on him. He wasn't breathing right so he had a CPAP. He couldn't eat so he had a stomach tube and then a tube in his nose to eat. They were worried that the bones in his head might be forming too soon. He wasn't gaining weight.After 3 weeks in the NICU he was able to go home.
Right now, I'm listening to my little man scream (because he's mad that I'm sitting here blogging instead of playing cars with him) and just a few hours ago, I saw him feed himself 1 entire piece of turkey, 2 french fries and a small piece of banana. His head is just fine and while he's still on the small side, he's stayed on the same growth curve since he came home from the hospital.
God is good.
