30 weeks and counting

Tomorrow I will be 31 weeks - only 9 weeks (hopefully!) left to go!!

This week Lincoln is approximately 18 inches long, 3.2 pounds - about the size of a head of lettuce.

Lincoln's brain is working overtime these days, developing faster than ever. Connections between individual nerve cells are growing at a frenetic clip, and he can now perceive information from all five senses.

So what does he do all day? Makes faces, hiccups, swallows, breathes, pedals with his hands and feet, and may even suck his thumb. (Although I feel like he's doing cartwheels and somersaults and practicing kick boxing!)

3D/4D Ultrasound

Ok, friends. I have not dropped off the planet. I'm still alive and well and so is Mr. Lincoln. I've been super busy with my Senior Bible Quizzers and taking lots of naps. (Lincoln is growing by leaps and bounds and it wears me out.) That doesn't leave much time for blogging. But, as I've had a very relaxing morning hanging out with Brad at Panera Bread, I've decided it's time to blog!

Here in just a couple of hours, Brad and I are headed to Precious Peek for a 3D/4D ultrasound of Lincoln. The package includes 25 minutes of viewing, a DVD set to music and black/white and color photographs. We will also be accompanied by my parents, Brad's parents, and my sister-in-law, Ashley. The package was a Valentine's Day gift from Brad's parents. Precious Peek has a "theater" that can accommodate up to 7 people. (For more information, check out their website www.preciouspeek.net)

I have heard from a few people who have had a 3D/4D ultrasound or knew someone who did, that the pictures are uncannily similar to what the baby will look like when he/she is born. So, I will soon find out whether my son resembles me or Brad or a good combination of both. :)

I'll try to blog with pictures, etc after the ultrasound this afternoon. Until then, Happy Saturday!
